The Business Law Society (BLS) is one of the newest and fastest growing organizations at the University of Toledo School of Law. Its purpose is to educate Toledo law students on current issues in the field of business law and inform students about areas of employment and opportunities in business law.
BLS also provides a forum for students to interact with faculty and local lawyers who practice in different areas of business law.
BLS plans society meetings, and aims to feature speakers that are general counsel in local corporations or attorneys practicing in business law, securities regulation, business litigation, bankruptcy and so on.
BLS also facilitates communication between students and alumni of the law school working in business law. BLS members do not need a business background to become successful in BLS and a future career in business law.
